Marilia and Fabio Meirelles are siblings and film directors, acting under the pseudonym IM (Irmãos Meirelles). In addition to directing, they sometimes act as screenwriters and editors in their films.
“Late Night Stores”, a campaign they made for Burger King was awarded a bronze lion in “Film” at Cannes Lions 2021, as well as winning Silver in the same category at The One Show. Recently they were shortlisted in the “New Director of the Year” category at the Shots Awards – The Americas, as well as at the YDA – Young Director Award – with “Operation Chrono”, a short film they wrote and directed for the game Free Fire. They were also featured in some of the main publications in the area with the film “Murayama” – shots.net, booooom.tv and director’s notes.
Their most recent work include ads for Lacta, Banco do Brasil, Coca-Cola, Telecine, and the latest campaign celebrating the 100 years of Novalgina.
